Set along the historic Jurassic Coast and nestled in the tranquil East Devon countryside in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, their working farm is home to donkeys, mules and hinnies - large and small. They have an incredible 6,300 donkeys in their care worldwide. Why not meet some of the 500 in Sidmouth waiting to see you. Can you find the gentle giant Poitou donkeys, gorgeous adoption donkeys or spot a miniature in one of the fields?
Their donkeys love to meet new people and you can discover their unique characters and stories. You can even enjoy giving a scratch behind the ears to one of the Main Yard donkeys. Enjoy scenic trails & indoor attractions. Their new family-friendly restaurant, The Kitchen, provides a tranquil haven during your visit.
During visiting hours donkeys may be found in the paddocks grazing or alternatively in the arena or stable areas, being groomed, fed, or playing with a ball or one of the other enrichment activities they offer their donkeys, when they are having some down time. Visitors have the opportunity to watch them, talk to the staff and learn what is their normal daily routine and behaviours. You may be lucky enough to give them a scratch if the donkeys decide to approach, they honour the donkeys right to chose to interact at all of our centres.
